| 57. HONORARY MEMBERSHIP |

57. Honorary membership 57.1 Honorary membership may be conferred upon a person who would not normally qualify for Membership as defined under the VESA Constitution. 57.2 Such honorary Members shall have limited Rights under the Constitution which would preclude voting upon issues or at the annual general meeting of the Association. 57.3 Recommendations for the bestowal are required to be sent to the Secretary of the Association and must contain information supportive to the recommendation. The recommendation must be dated and signed by a Proposer and Seconder, and include their mailing address and after hours telephone numbers. 57.4 Upon receipt of such recommendation the Secretary shall advise the Board. 57.5 The Board shall investigate the Proposal and may, at its discretion: (a) confer the Honorary Membership; or (b) reject, vary of defer the proposal. 57.6 An Honorary Membership may be presented to the recipient at the next annual general meeting of the Association, or as otherwise determined by the Board. |
